Vicente Martín y Soler Life

Vicente Martín y Soler (b. Valencia 1754, d. San Petersburgo 1806) worked in the Vienna of W.A. Mozart and Salieri.

He went to Moscow (to work for Catherina II) where he lived until his death.

He composed instrumental works and some Operas: the libretto of his "Una cosa rara" was written from Lorenzo da Ponte.
