| Born ? nr Lyons, ca 1630; died Paris, by 1701, French bass violist and composer. He taught in Lyons in the late 1650s and went to Paris in 1660; an outstanding bass viol virtuoso, he was Marais' teacher.His most noted compositions are 67 Concerts for two viols.
