Der Komponist Philip Glass wurde am 31. Januar 1937 in Chicago geboren. Er studierte in Chicago, New York und Paris, unter anderem bei Nadia Boulanger. 1969 zog er nach Nova Scotia, lebt inzwischen abwechselnd in Brasilien und in New York.  |
