Frédéric Nicolas Duvernoy Life

An important figure in the establishment of a French school of French horn playing, Duvernoy occupied a leading position as a performer in his own time.

He was employed as a principal player at the Opéra House in Paris.

He was much admired by Napoleon and his immediate successors, retaining official favour until 1830.
