He became professor of composition at the conservatories of Parma and Milan, and from 1951 to 1962 director the latter. He was also active at various times as an adviser to RAI (Italian radio) and to Teatro alla Scala, and as organizer of the Settimane Musicali di Siena. |
A a composer, Ghedini was exceptionally slow in making his mark outside a small circle of friends and collegues: the stylistic elements of Ghedini's works are fashioned by the works of Pizzetti and Ravel. |
