Jean-Baptiste Lemire Life

 

Born the 8.06.1867 in Colmar (Haut-Rhin, France) and died on the 2.03-1945 in Arrow (the Sarthe, France); registered voter with the Academy of Lyon (1893), it took him only one year to unanimously obtain there a first place of flute (1894).

He made the tour of the world as bâteau in a 1890, then returned to France, to be a directer of music between 1900 to 1930.

Then in 1935 he was decorated with the military decoration the colonial medal of Madagascar, and to have been given the high honor of a medal for the knight of Anjouan and of the Comoros, he then settle in German Saint of the Valley where he died in 1945.

The music of Jean-Baptiste Lemire includes Steps, waltz, hammers, scottischs; he combine them all in the à.la.mode pages of its time, not forgetting, he was also a military head of music, some pieces like the "impossible to circumvent " the redoubled Steps ", divide into various formations like " Ruby on the nail ", created musical harmony for brass band (Paris 1906).
