Thomas Lupo

| Born ??, died London, Jan 1628, English composer of Italian origin. From a musical family, he served the court as a viol player or violinist (from 1591) and composer to the violins (from 1621). As well as vocal music, he composed many instrumental fantasias, some with trio-sonata scoring and was a pioneer of the broken consort.
