Johannes Sperger Life


Johannes Sperger was a at first a double bass player in F.J. Haydn's orchestra at the Esterhazy palace.

He then went to acquire a reputation as a virtuoso on the instrument, performing at the main courts of Europe.

He was also prolific composer and "Maestro di cappella" in various cities.
