| We know equally little of the life of Francesco Spinacino, two books of lute "Intabulatura" being our sole knowledge of his work, though contemporary reports regarded him as one of the great lutenists working in Venice. These few works are, by standards of the time, complicated scores displaying a composer of considerable skill.
